Peter Delorenzo playing on stage in a band

Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Pete DeLorenzo continues to write and perform songs that hover along the fringes of Atlanta’s ever-changing music scene under the name Lucis Flux. Being a founding member of critically acclaimed retro-rock and roll circus-pop act Gringo Star, DeLorenzo pursued 11 adventurous years crisscrossing the US, Great Britain, and mainland Europe. After non-stop touring, from playing festivals like Lollapalooza, opening for commercial rock giants Kings of Leon and Weezer and retro indie darlings Black Lips and Best Coast, to rocking small dives in countless cities and small towns, he ended his tenure with the band in April 2012. “Pete D” left behind a significant mark with Gringo Star in his songwriting, collaboration, and work with Grammy-winning producer Ben Allen on Gringo Star’s seminal albums All Y’all and Count Yer Lucky Stars.

He continues his harmony-laced, down-to-earth, thoughtful musical output to this day. Musically influenced in the rock and roll tradition by the likes of Neil Young, The Pretenders, and The Replacements, DeLorenzo’s songs contribute lyrically a philosophical mix of the spiritual, social, and political vacillating between the anthemic and the abstractly nuanced.
